USCG chooses Sealite LED marine lantern to light the Raspberry Island Lighthouse

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has replaced the old 300mm light located at the Raspberry Island Lighthouse, Apostle Islands, Wisconsin with Sealite’s SL-125 2 tier white navigation light.

Sealite’s SL-125 is one of the most advanced LED marine lanterns on the market and boasts a 5-9NM+ range making it the ideal solution for lighthouse illumination.

The Raspberry Island Lighthouse is one of six lighthouses located in the Apostle Islands, Wisconsin and was constructed in 1863 to mark the west channel of the Apostle Islands.

The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore consists of 21 islands and 281km2 of shoreline on the northern tip of Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior and has more lighthouses than any other national park.

Sealite would like to thank Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Assistant Chief of Interpretation and Education, Mr Neil J. Howk, for the pictures included in this article.
